Will we be getting any new Pokémon for Halloween this year?

Datamined. Scopely hasn't announced this, and it isn't on the calendar.

We've had at least one new Pokémon for the annual Halloween event every year since 2017 (or non-Mega form, in the case of Galarian Yamask for Halloween 2020), and they've all been either Ghost-types or Dark-types, but with Bramblin having just been announced to debut in the Fall Marathon event instead, that leaves 0 Ghost- or Dark-types left outside of Basculegion (which I don't think we've gotten any updates for lately, but I haven't checked PokéMiners in months, so I'm not sure), Paradoxes, Legendaries, and Mythicals, so that begs the question... Will we be getting any new Pokémon in GO for

Hello everyone

With this post, I aim to document the present, past, and future state of everything Showcase-Related. I hope to conclude my old series of posts on the subject and inform the community a little.

The Current State of Showcases Up-To-Date as of September 19th, 2026

Dust Off Your Megas: +4 Moves and DPS Discussion

Datamined. Scopely hasn't announced this, and it isn't on the calendar.

Mega Pokemon have always been in a weird spot. Due to the way they interact with candy, it is generally more beneficial to use Megas that have the same type as the Pokemon you're fighting instead of using your mega to contribute damage. With Niantic introducing the Super Mega +4 moves for certain Pokemon, this could (and has in some cases) changed, as these moves now allow for some Pokemon to boost their types while also contributing damage.

The current pattern of Super Mega Moves seemingly has two restrictions: *The move must be either of the Pokemon's type. *The move cannot be a legacy move.
